Proving that his show is not just in Disney and Marvel's pocket, "Jimmy Kimmel Live" premiered the second official trailer for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" on Wednesday (Dec. 2).
Just earlier in the week, a new clip from Zack Snyder's highly anticipated follow-up to "Man of Steel" aired during "Gotham" and from the tease of an epic superhero standoff to this ... well, it's turning out to be quite the wonderful week for Batman fans!
It looks like Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) has moved into Gotham and is looking for thoughts on that "bat vigilante" plaguing the city's streets. His questioning just gets a knowing smile from Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and off we go into a trailer that's sure to get the internet buzzing.
Pointing out the Daily Planet's bias towards their favorite caped alien, it's pretty obvious these two men are going to have some problems getting along. And while there is a reference to the Joker tossed out early on in the clip, this looks to be the first time audiences are getting a good on-screen look at Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg).
If anything, the war between these two look like it's going to be all sorts of awesome ... or as Luthor puts it, "The greatest gladiator match in the history of the world."
Oh, and hello Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot)!
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" also stars Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Holly Hunter, Scoot McNairy, and Laurence Fishburne and will hit theaters nationwide on March 25, 2016.
