Just under a year ago, Marvel fans got the news: There was a new Spider-Man, and he was going to finally be allowed to play in the same sandbox as Cap, Iron-Man, Thor and all the other beloved Avengers.
Now, the latest trailer for "Captain America: Civil War" has arrived, and with it the long-awaited first look at Tom Holland's Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, wielding Captain America's shield no less.
"We try to save as many people as we can," Captain America says in the trailer. "Sometimes that doesn't mean everybody. But you don't give up."
Like previous "Civil War" trailers, the footage gives viewers a glimpse of ample hero-on-hero violence, featuring familiar names like Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) as well as newbies like Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and of course, the web-head.
Wow, what an entrance. As Iron-Man and Cap reach an impasse, Tony Stark says "All right, I've run out of patience." Calling out "Underoos!" Captain America has his shield snatched away by a web. As the camera zooms in on Spider-Man (notice the cool, swelling black around the eyes and the Under Armour-like suit), the new Peter Parker breaks the fourth wall Deadpool-style as he says "Hey, everyone!"
