dwayne johnson the fall guy Dwayne Johnson in talks to star in 'The Fall Guy' big screen remake

The big-screen remake of the 1980s TV series “The Fall Guy” may have found its “Guy:” Dwayne Johnson is in talks to star in the long-awaited reboot.

Along with the “Hercules: The Thracian Wars” actor, McG is also currently in talks to direct the movie version of the ’80s TV series, THR reports. The film is being presented to potential buyers at the Toronto Film Festival, happening this week.

The original version of “The Fall Guy” was an ABC series that ran from 1981 to 1986, starring Lee Majors as a Hollywood stunt man who worked a side job as a bounty hunter. His exploits usually involved him transferring a stunt from a movie to the job at hand, and he was joined by his sidekick cousin (Douglas Barr) and a female stunt actress (Heather Thomas).

This isn’t the first time “The Fall Guy” has had an attempted reboot. The film was good to go for years at Warner Bros., and then at DreamWorks with Nicolas Cage starring.
