globes descendants Golden Globes 2012 movie nominees: 'The Descendants,' 'The Artist' lead the packGeorge Clooney had a big morning Thursday (Dec. 15) with the announcement of the nominees for the 69th annual Golden Globe Awards.

He was nominated for best actor in “The Descendants,” which was one of five nominations for the film — tying for the lead with “The Artist” and “The Help.” For good measure, he was also nominated for best director and best screenplay (with Grant Heslov and Beau Willimon) for “The Ides of March.”
