The full trailer for “The Hangover Part III” has been released, and it features a whole lot of Ken Jeong. The “Community” star’s role, which started in the first movie as a side character, has evolved to play a main part in the series. While Jeong’s Leslie Chow had an expanded role in “The Hangover Part II,” it looks like he’s an event bigger part of the final movie in the trilogy, driving the entire plot.
The trailer starts at the funeral of Alan’s (Zach Galifianakis) dad. Viewers learn that Alan has been off his meds for six months, and the Wolfpack gathers for an intervention. On the way to a rehab facility, they’re accosted by a group of men looking for Chow, led by John Goodman. Goodman’s character kidnaps Doug (Justin Bartha) as insurance, because he’s never allowed in on the fun, demanding the Wolfpack find Chow.
With that, Alan, Phil (Bradley Cooper) and Stu (Ed Helms) begin their journey through Mexico and Las Vegas, among other locations. They quickly find Chow, who leads them an insane adventure, before flinging himself off a building, parachuting across the Las Vegas Strip.
“The Hangover Part III” is the last in the series, for now, and will be in theaters May 24.
