Following the announcement that the first teaser trailer for “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” will air during the MTV Movie Awards, the network released a promo for the show that actually contains some footage from the film.
The sneak peak at the teaser doesn’t show a lot, with only about seven seconds of footage. The scene shown takes place during the introduction of the winners of the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson). While you see Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks) from behind, along with the star-crossed tributes, Katniss gets a closeup.
“Catching Fire” won’t be in theaters until November, but Lionsgate has already started the promotional blitz for the movie, including stills, and a collection of character posters. Make sure to watch the promo above, and tune into the MTV Movie Awards April 14 to see the full teaser.
