amazing spider man 2 costume revealed by marvel Marvel releases first look at 'Amazing Spider Man 2' suit

The Twitter account associated with Marvel Comics is releasing all kinds of great pictures from upcoming movie releases. Just last week they were posting “Iron Man 3” character posters, and now they’ve tweeted a photo with the first look at everyone’s favorite neighborhood web-slinger in “Amazing Spider-Man 2,” which is currently being filmed. Above you’ll see the first film’s costume on the left, with the new costume on the right.
While at first glance the costume may seem similar, there are a few very important changes, the most noticeable being the eyes. The eyes on the new costume are bigger and more round. They also appear brighter. This design more closely resembles comic book adaptations of the hero, where he generally has larger eyes.
The suit also looks to be made of a completely different material. Whereas the first movie’s costume looked molded and made of some sort of plastic, the new suit looks more like a cloth material. It adds credibility to the idea that a teenager could make the suit, instead of it looking like body armor. Lastly, the spider on our hero’s chest has been redesigned. The stylized, segmented spider from the first movie is gone, with a more classic version taking it’s place.
“Amazing Spider-Man 2” features the return of Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, and Emma Stone as his lady love, Gwen Stacy. Joining them are Dane DeHaan as Parker’s friend Harry Osborn, and Jamie Foxx as the movie’s villain, Electro. The movie is currently scheduled to hit theaters May 2, 2014.
