miss piggy joan rivers qvc gi 'Muppets Most Wanted': Miss Piggy slams Joan Rivers, plots QVC takeover

Watch out Joan Rivers, you’ve got some serious competition in the home shopping world. Miss Piggy is coming through, and she won’t stop until she’s queen of QVC.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Piggy says she’s planning to debut her new brand, Moi by Miss Piggy, during a March 16 appearance on QVC, along with her “Muppets Most Wanted” co-stars. “As a world class diva, it’s not just a good idea to have your own lifestyle brand — it’s the law,” she says. “Many people don’t realize it, but if you don’t turn yourself into an empire, you can lose your diva’s license.”
Of course, bringing a brand to QVC means a showdown with Rivers, who has her own collection on the network, in addition to hosting “Fashion Police.” “If Joan Rivers can do it, I can do it better,” Piggy challenges. “How do you like them apples, Joannie!?”
It’s a sad turn of events for the former friends, who worked at a perfume counter together in “Muppets Take Manhattan.” As for QVC, they didn’t know Piggy was launching her own brand when she appears, but they’re more than happy to have her do so.
