If you were a fan of the original “Jem and the Holograms” TV series and looking forward to the upcoming live action film version, the angry online reactions to the trailers indicate that you are not going to be a fan of this re-imagined version.

Universal released a second trailer for its “Jem and the Holograms” Tuesday (Aug. 11) and with it the introduction of Synergy, a beloved character from the original ’80s cartoon. Unfortunately for the studio and everyone involved with this modern, live-action version of “Jem,” the reactions to the new trailer were not kind.
