“Lincoln” (the vampire-free one) is the latest offering from Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg. It stars Daniel Day-Lewis as the titular character, the 16th President of the United States.

The film focuses on Lincoln’s final months in office before his assassination, as he deals with a nation still divided by war and the issue of slavery. It also stars Sally Field as his wife, Mary Todd Lincoln, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as their son, Union Army captain Robert Todd Lincoln.

Supporting actors include Tommy Lee Jones, David Strathairn, Jackie Earle Haley, Gregory Itzen, Lee Pace, Walton Goggins, Gloria Reuben, James Spader and Hal Holbrook. The movie looks rather epic — are you excited about it?

“Lincoln” opens nationwide Nov. 16, 2012.
