star trek into darkness worst movie 'Star Trek Into Darkness' named worst 'Star Trek' movie by fans

“Star Trek Into Darkness” may have been a critical hit, but longtime fans of the “Star Trek” franchise are crying foul. The hardest of hardcore Trekkies gathered in Las Vegas for the annual Creation Star Trek convention Saturday (August 10) to decide which “Trek” movies were the best, and which were the worst. Unfortunately for director J.J. Abrams, his latest entry into the franchise didn’t fare too well.
“Star Trek Into Darkness” somehow came in at number 13 in a franchise that consists of 12 movies. You read that right. According to Badass Digest, the 1999 comedy “Galaxy Quest” made the list at number 7. The movie is about the stars of a “Star Trek” like TV show being thrust into a real-world space battle, to pretty funny results.
Abrams’ other “Trek” movie, the 2009 reboot “Star Trek,” wasn’t as ill-received as “Into Darkness,” landing at number 6. Of course, the fans voted “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan” as the best film in the franchise. That might also be one of the reasons “Into Darkness” was met with so much anger by fans, as Abrams attempted to recreate something they already deemed perfect.
The full list is below, sound off in the comments if you agree or disagree:

1. “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan”
