star wars episode vii release date december 2015 'Star Wars: Episode VII' releasing in December 2015?

“Star Wars: Episode VII” hasn’t even begun production yet, but it may already be making a major change in the franchise’s history. The new movie is set to be released in 2015 and everyone assumed it would be sometime in May, as with every other “Star Wars” movie. However,a  new report suggests Disney, who owns Lucasfilm, may be eyeing a December release.
According to Badass Digest, multiple sources are saying the studio is looking at the release late in the year, possibly on December 15. That would take the movie out of a very crowded summer, which includes “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Independence Day 2,” “Pirates of the Caribbean 5” and many more highly-anticipated movies. There’s also that “Batman vs. Superman” movie that’s got everyone so excited.
Lucasfilm has yet to make an official announcement regarding pretty much anything related to “Star Wars: Episode VII” since revealing that J.J. Abrams would be directing the film. There’s still no plot or casting details, though Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford have all more or less said they have been asked to return.
