“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” debuted a new trailer during Monday’s (Oct. 19) NFL game between the Eagles and Giants — and fans predictably went nuts.

The two-and-a-half-minute clip features appearances by Harrison Ford as Han Solo and Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia, plus lots of exciting action footage with Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega).

“I was raised to do one thing, but I’ve got nothing to fight for,” laments Finn at one point.

And when Rey asks Solo about the stories she’s heard, Ford intones, “It’s true. All of it. The dark side, a Jedi — they’re real.”

That line is chill-inducing, and the fans were in tears.

Co-starring Gwendoline Christie, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Max Von Sydow, “Star Wars Episode VII” opens Dec. 18, but tickets are on sale now — if the sites stop crashing, that is.
