kristen bell rob thomas veronica mars movie The 'Veronica Mars' movie is happening; Kickstarter reaches goal in less than 12 hoursWay to go, “Veronica Mars” fans. The V-Mars movie we’ve all been waiting for since the show went off the air in 2006 is happening.

Creator Rob Thomas and star Kristen Bell (pictured together above) launched a Kickstarter Wednesday (March 13) at roughly 10 a.m. ET to help fund the movie. The goal was $2 million. And that goal was met at just before 9 p.m. ET, by just under 32,000 people.

But don’t stop there!

Thomas says in the Kickstarter that the more money the movie has, the bigger and better it’ll be, so we mustn’t rest on our laurels. After all, a Neptune High 10-year class reunion would not be complete without favorite faces like Mac, Madison, Wanda or Meg, right?

We wonder if Thomas will find a way to work Amanda Seyfried in there somehow. Either way, we’re super pumped. Go Pirates!

You know who else is pumped? Thomas and Bell, who have been tweeting about the Kickstarter all day.

Thomas: “Ok, here it is! Stretch goal-$3M or Logan doesnt survive the movie!”
Bell: “YOU WOULDN’T! Guys help! Robs my boss & he’s gone nuts!”
Bell: “Guys if we get to 5 Million- ill Taze rob and video tape it!”

Bell also floats an amazing proposal: “an idea: a rewatching party? do an ep every week at a designated time, & either @RobThomas or i live tweet during? so we can all watch together? thoughts?”

We are so down.
