The 2013 Writer’s Guild Awards honor the year’s best best in film, television, and radio, and began in the 1940’s. This year’s show is hosted by “Castle” star Nathan Fillion. Nearly all of the Academy Award for Best Picture nominees are up for screenwriting awards tonight, including “Argo,” “Silver Linings Playbook,” and “Zero Dark Thirty.” 

Film awards are given for original and adapted screenplay, as well as documentary screenplay. A slew of awards have are also handed out for television, for dramas, comedies, TV movies, animated shows, daytime television, and variety shows.
