The annual Grammy Awards ceremony has always been seen as a prestigious occasion to honor those in the music industry. Shockingly enough, record-breaking sales and chart-toppers have not been able to nab Grammys for some iconic artists. Check out a list of some of the most famous musicians to never win the coveted gramophone below:

Katy Perry

Katy Perry is a record-breaking artist, who became the first female artist to have five No. 1 singles from one album – 2010’s “Teenage Dream.” Despite her chart-topping success, Perry has never won any of her 13 Grammy nominations.

Bob Marley

Bob Marley’s likeness graces an uncountable number of posters, T-shirts and other paraphernalia. The Reggae icon has never won a Grammy award during his lifetime, but he was posthumously given a Lifetime Achievement Award from the association in 2001.

Tupac Shakur has been nominated six times, four of which he received after his death in 1996. Though he has never won, the Grammy Museum in downtown Los Angeles had an exhibit commemorating him. The exhibit, “All Eyez on Me: The Writings of Tupac Shakur,” ran from February 2015 until January 2016.

Led Zeppelin

Nine studio albums didn’t win the band a single Grammy award, but they were given a Lifetime Achievement Award and were inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Bjork

Although she has one of the most recognizable voices, Bjork has never won a Grammy. The Iceland native has been nominated 13 times.

Jimi Hendrix

Jimi Hendrix has a received various Hall of Fame Grammy Awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award. However, the rock artist never won a Grammy award for the four albums he recorded during his lifetime.

Queen

Queen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in addition to receiving a star on the Hollywood Hall of Fame. Despite their success, Queen has yet to receive a Grammy. However, the rock legends received three singles into the Grammy Hall of Fame: “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Will Rock You” and “We Are The Champions.”

Diana Ross

Diana Ross has ever won a Grammy award – neither with the Supremes nor during her career as a solo artist. Not even with collaborations with fellow music icons Lionel Richie or Marvin Gaye. Ross has only garnered herself a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. However, artifacts and memorabilia from the singer’s time at Motown Records are on display at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles.

Chuck Berry

Dubbed the Father of Rock n’ Roll, he has never won a Grammy Award (outside of his Lifetime Achievement Award in 1984. Berry still performs to this day. At 87 years old, he still has a shot at winning the coveted award at a future ceremony.

Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg has been nominated for a whopping 16 Grammys over the course of his career, but he has yet to take a gramophone home. He holds the title as the most nominated artist to have never won the coveted award, along with Brian McKnight.

The list goes on, including Janis Joplin, Journey, Guns N’ Roses, The Who, Busta Rhymes, Iggy Pop, Queens of the Stone Age, The Ramones and Kid Rock.

The Grammy Awards airs Monday, Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. PT/ET on CBS.
