Martina McBride opened the second annual American Country Countdown Awards with a healthy dose of feminism, performing her hit song, "This One's For The Girls."

She was joined by Jennifer Nettles and Cam, who each took a verse for themselves before joining McBride for the final few choruses.

With country music being such a boys club these days, choosing to open the awards show with this kind of song was a strong move for some of the biggest women of country, which we're sure many country fans and stars in the audience appreciated.

"I always look forward to singing this song because it resonates with so many different people of all different ages," McBride said in a statement when the news of her performance was first announced. "With Jennifer and Cam joining me for the first time, the song will be even more fun and I’m so happy we’ll be performing this together.

Carrie Underwood applauded their performance immediately after, as she presented the award for "Male Vocalist of the Year" to Luke Bryan.
