If it's one thing Stephen Colbert enjoys doing -- aside from geeking out over Tolkien characters or making out with Helen Mirren -- it's singing with his celebrity guests.

A trend that started when hosting "The Colbert Report" on Comedy Central, the musical theater nerd has since joined forces with the likes of Paul Simon and even Steve Carell on "The Late Show."

In Thursday's (March 10) episode, he's joined by actress Anna Kendrick. She quickly points out that she's not there to promote a movie and instead, the two proceed to enjoy each other's company.

Pointing out her beginning in the business as a child actor on Broadway, the two begin to gush over their experience working with the legendary Stephen Sondheim. It was a bit obvious where the episode was leading and as soon as music was a topic of conversation, Colbert invited Kendrick to join him in a duet.

With the help of Jon Batiste on piano, what transpires is a beautiful performance of Irving Berlin's classic tune, "They Say It's Wonderful." Just sit back and breathe it all in.
