19 kids and counting jill duggar derick dillard wedding invitation '19 Kids and Counting' Season 8 episodes 20 and 21: No, still no wedding for Jill and Derick yet

OK, TLC. Listen. “19 Kids and Counting” is a much beloved show. Fans turn out every week, and watched the show for years. But yet again, tonight’s (Sept. 30) episodes did. not. show. the wedding.
Seeing the entire planning process is cute and all, but can we just get to Jill and Derick’s wedding? Please? The actual engagement was shorter than the amount of time we’re spending watching the planning. How many times will poor Jill have to say “I’m engaged to Derick Dillard and I’m planning my wedding” to the camera?
Put us all out of our misery and show us the wedding!
Wedding planning … still
Jill and her sisters did a dry run of their hair and make-up (super glam!) and chose non-dumpy mint-green lace “modest” dresses — they added sleeves, raised the neckline, and dropped the hem on a tank dress. But it’s a cute dress, and as Jill said, has a “vintagey” feel. And that’s a totally “in” color too. Everyone also bought new shoes — a special occasion since the Duggars usually get their shoes at thrift shops.
Just a note about the shoe shopping scene: There’s no Duggar restrictions on footwear and the older girls love shoes, especially wedge heels. According to Michelle, “there’s not a whole lot that you could do to shoes that would be immodest.”
Obviously, Michelle, you’ve never seen patent leather stilettos in action.
Meanwhile
The newlyweds are moving into one of Jim Bob and Michelle’s properties, and there’s still work to be done. New carpeting gets put in with the non-help of the Duggar kids. It actually took the installation team a little longer than it would have on their own. But as Jim Bob says, everyone learned something. Maybe the installation team learned to charge Jim Bob more for their time.
Also, Anna is learning some different, healthier recipes for dinner — salmon with peaches, specifically. Josh was OK with the new foods, but the kids weren’t on board. With squash, particularly. It can be slimy. We understand.
