If you’re looking for a unique name for your soon-to-be-born offspring, be sure to scan BabyCenter’s list of 100 top baby names for 2011. For the seventh year in a row, Aiden is the most popular boy’s name while Sophia continues to rule the roost as the most-chosen girl’s name.
According to BabyCenter, Mason is on the move — moving up eight spots on the boys list since last year. Meanwhile, Emily is again gaining steam on the girl’s list, moving up three spots to take ninth place. Fear not, “Twilight” is still influencing new parents with Bella, Isabella and Jacob all hovering near the top of the list. But (and this gives us a little faith in humanity) Renesmee hasn’t yet made its debut.
And, because we’re personally fixated on this, we’ll point out that “-ayden” names are still, inexplicably, representing — with Jayden, Braydon and Hayden all making appearances on the boy’s list.
