tracy morgan 30 rock april16 nbc '30 Rock': Comedy closes in on seventh season renewalThere’s some good news and some bad news for “30 Rock” fans. The good news is it looks like the show will be picked up for a seventh season. The bad news is it might not be for as many episodes as some people might want.

Deadline is reporting that the NBC comedy will likely have an abbreviated run of 13-14 episodes for its final season. It adds that co-EPs Jack Burditt, Josh Siegal and Dylan Morgan have already signed on for the remaining shows.

While “30 Rock” has been a critical success, it’s never quite broken through on the ratings side. Its best season in terms of viewership was in the 2008-09 season. During that time, it averaged 7.5 million viewers and finished the season in 69th place. Its most recent episode drew less than half that, with just 3.1 million viewers.

So Zappers, will you be sad to see Liz, Tracy, Jack and the gang go? Sound off in the comments section below.
