twilight breaking dawn sex scene A 'Twilight' remake? Studio still says 'Breaking Dawn' is the endA report online over the weekend claimed that the makers of the “Twilight” movies are looking for ways to extend the franchise beyond “Breaking Dawn Part 2,” which will end the movie cycle in November. But Lionsgate, which owns the movies, says it’s not true. Yet.

The report came from horror site Bloody Disgusting, which claims Lionsgate (which bought “Twilight Saga” producer Summit Entertainment earlier this year) is already discussing how to keep the moody-vampire pipeline open, via more sequels, a remake/reboot or other means.

“They’ll deny it, right here, right now. We’ll get plenty of eggs in our face. … Still, the fact will remain: it’s true,” the site says. “In fact, they’re already discussing it internally. It will happen. ‘Twilight’ will return. It will never leave. It is eternal. Prepare to weep for another decade.”

Lionsgate does in fact deny it’s planning a remake — which, if it came to pass in the next five years, would eclipse “Spider-Man” in terms of speedy franchise resets — and says it will take its cue from Stephenie Meyer, the author of the “Twilight” books.

“We are not remaking ‘Twilight.’ We will happily support Stephanie Meyer if she decides to proceed in any way,” the studio says in a statement. “But this will be the last one unless that should change.”

What do you think of the idea of a “Twilight” remake or reboot?
