During an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” to promote “Blended,” Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler sang a little duet. The duo wanted to commemorate the fact that they always seem to end up in romantic comedies together.
The title of the song was “Every 10 Years,” with Fallon on guitar. There’s some pretty creative math going on, though. The gist of the track was they get together every 10 years to fall in love on film. “The Wedding Singer” was released in 1998, with “50 First Dates” following in 2004, which is only six years. However, it’s definitely been 10 years since they last fell in love, so at least there’s that.

Perhaps they should’ve called it “Every 10 Years (On Average).”

“Blended” is in theaters May 23.
