To end the star-studded tribute to the late, great country music singer George Jones, Alan Jackson performed Jones’ 1980 hit “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” which is widely considered one of the best (if not the best) country songs of all time.

Jackson gave an emotional performance — you could hear the tears in his voice at times, causing him to go out of tune a little bit, which really just made it all the better. Above is the video of the night Jones died, when Jackson performed the song at a concert as a tribute.

We’ll post video from the funeral just as soon as we have it. For now, check out another great performance from the funeral — Vince Gill and Patty Loveless on “Go Rest High On That Mountain.”

And below, Keith Urban posted a video to YouTube with a short rendition of “He Stopped Loving Her Today” as tribute to Jones.
