Fans of the film and the fashions will get the chance to examine the garments up close in a three-part exhibition beginning Thursday, May 27 at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles

Zap2it will be right there to bring readers a sneak peek at the designs and behind-the-scenes interviews. The exhibit launches in conjunction with the release of “Alice” on DVD on Tuesday, June 1.

]]>Johnny Depp. Accessories and sketches will also be on display Part Two is styled th “Edgier Side of Alice,” modern-day clothing that’s inspired by “Alice.” Adding their own input are musician Avril Lavigne and fashion icons Sue Wong and Tom Binns. Finally, Part Three brings more “Alice” inspiration with twist, but this time from FIDM graduates mentored by “Project Runway” alum Nick Verreos. Six designer grads were challenged to participate in a FIDM SuperLab project to discover their talents through the creation of couture gowns inspired by six iconic characters from the film. Zap2it will be speaking to Verreos and the FIDM grads to get an early look on their designs and follow their progress before the big reveal. So check back for updates and more pics of the designs.
