america unplugged trailer 'America Unplugged': Meet Americans who live off the grid year round Think about what technology and man-made things you use everyday without conscious thought. How many times do you check your phone for texts and emails, use your laptop, watch TV, flip on a light, turn on your AC/heat, drive your car, shop for food, etc.? Now try imagining living life without any of that. Seems impossible, right?

Not for some Americans. “America Unplugged,” a new series debuting on Sportsman Channel and produced by A. Smith & Co. Productions, features Americans who have essentially “pulled the plug” and decided to live their life completely off the grid.

Hosted by former Navy SEAL Cade Courtley, the series introduces viewers to these brave people who are not only surviving, but thriving off the land with essentially nothing. The show chronicles their “painstaking efforts” to provide food and shelter and even clean water daily.

“America Unplugged” gives viewers unhindered access to these interesting and hard-working men and women and shows exactly what it takes to live a life free of modern technology and activities that hurt the environment.
