tate constance moira ahs 'American Horror Story' Season 2: Frances Conroy returning as the 'ultimate angel'“American Horror Story” is bringing its second season to a mental institution run by nuns/priests, with the theme being sanity and, of course, good vs. evil. And now creator Ryan Murphy has revealed another Season 1 cast member who is returning.

“Thrilled to announce Emmy nominee Frances Conroy is returning to AHS.
Devils and angels this year…Frannie plays the ultimate angel … A very different role for Frannie this year. Much more powerful…and all-knowing. #feministhorroricon,” Murphy tweets.

Conroy joins fellow Season 1 actors Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe and Zachary Quinto, alongside newcomers James Cromwell, Chloe Sevigny, Joseph Fiennes, Adam Levine, Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Lizzie Brochere.
