Candice Glover – Don’t Make Me Over – American… by IdolxMuzic

On Wednesday’s (April 10) “American Idol,” Candice Glover stepped up to the plate and hit two towering home runs. She was easily the best this week (though Kree and Amber also had strong showings).

First up, she sang “Don’t Make Me Over,” an old Dionne Warwick hit that she made sound completely current. Nicki Minaj said it was so intense, she wanted a women’s revival up in here. Secondly, Candice took on “Love Song” by The Cure — and gave what is maybe our favorite performance all season.

Randy summed it up nicely with, “One of the greatest performances in the history, 12 years of ‘American Idol.’ You show ’em how to do it, baby.” And Mariah Carey punctuated the performance with a magic Mariah glitter bomb. Candice was in tears.

She really is so good — do you agree, “Idol” fans?
