For Carole King night, Casey Abrams took on a King song made famous by Blood Sweat & Tears called “Hi-De-Ho” for “American Idol’s” Top 6 night. It let him play around with lots of different instruments and dress like a cool cat. What’d you think?

We were fans. Casey kept the vocal acrobatics and growls reined in so that they weren’t overpowering but were still showcased nicely. The judges also loved it. Randy said it was like the song was written for him and J.Lo said he was in his element.

We actually liked his duet with Haley a little better than his solo, but it was still really strong. Do you think it’s enough to keep Casey around?
