Zap2it continues to push our nomination for Harry Connick Jr. to replace Simon Cowell on next year’s “American Idol” judging panel. But it seems he has some stiff competition!

“It’s gonna be different because there’s going to be an empty chair at the end of that panel,” host Ryan Seacrest told MTV news. “I’m not quite sure who’s going into that chair, so it’s a big [decision].”

He may not know who it is, but he knows the qualities he’d love the new judge to possess.

“I would want a much younger, thinner, more charming Simon,” he says. In response, the reporter nominated BET award nominee, Justin Bieber.

Seacrest exclaimed, “Bieber — he’s the guy!”

Wouldn’t you love Justin Bieber on next season’s judging panel?
