Has “American Idol” found their Simon Cowell replacement in radio shock-jock Howard Stern? Say it ain’t so, Seacrest!
The New York Post is reporting that a “source connected with ‘Idol'” told them, “It’s one of the few shows that could compete with Stern’s $100
million-a-year Sirius contract, and ‘Idol’ bosses think he’d be even
nastier than Simon.”
We cannot possibly think this is serious. What better way to turn off a huge chunk of the “Idol” viewing audience? Hell, we like “Idol” tremendously and we don’t think we would watch Howard Stern as a judge.
The Post also reports that Stern recently said, “I was approached by a major TV network to take over a TV show and leave
here and do that next year — and I did turn it down … I’m not even
sure if I want to be working. I’m waiting to see what happens.”
Oh no. No no no. Please no.
What do you think? Is Stern a good replacement for Simon Cowell?
