On Saturday, Feb. 27, Jason Castro debuted his new single “That’s What I”m Here For” at the wedding of Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney — American will have to wait until March 8.
Castro’s self-titled album hits stores April 13, but its debut single “That’s What I’m Here For”is almost here. It hits radio outlets, stores and digital retailers on March 8, coupled with an exclusive rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
Castro performed both songs this past weekend at Jason and Molly’s wedding. That two-hour television event airs Monday, March 8 on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Watch Jason perform “That’s What I’m Here For” below.
“I feel like the album really captures my personality,” Jason says. “People got to know me a bit on the show, so I wanted to build on that by including all these songs I’ve written about my life. I wanted to share with people the things that are meaningful to me.”
