For ’60s week and Brit pop week on “American Idol,” Jessica Sanchez took on two very different songs – Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary” and Joe Cocker’s “You Are So Beautiful.” We thought she did an excellent job on both, though “Beautiful” was her moment of the season. It was like her “I Will Always Love You” performance.

J.Lo praised the first performance with, “Little bit of Tina, little bit of Beyonce, little bit of I-don’t-know-what up there!” and Steven Tyler said of the second, “You once again showed America just how beautiful your voice is and what a great singer you are. You’re gonna be number one, girl.”

Do you agree with us that Jessica is head and shoulders above the rest of the pack, talent-wise? She is just … it’s unbelievable. We hope she wins the whole thing. An MP3 of “Proud Mary” is below.
