Naima Adedapo took a big risk for the “American Idol” Top 13. She tackled Rihanna‘s “Umbrella,” which is a tricky song by itself. But she also injected a reggae rap break in the middle and some fancy dance moves.

As a pure vocal, it wasn’t that strong. As an overall performance, it was fun, current and entertaining, moreso than most everything else on the night. The judges agreed – warned her to watch her breath and her pitch, but really praised her vibe and groove.

What did you think of Naima? We were happy she got a Wild Card spot and hope to see her stick around.
