For the “American Idol” Top 3, Phillip Phillips was given “Beggin'” by Madcon and “We’ve Got Tonight” by Bob Seger, and then chose “Disease” by Matchbox 20 for himself.

The “Beggin'” was solid and the Matchbox 20 was just OK, but Phillips just punched his ticket to the finals with his “We’ve Got Tonight.” It’s not an overly hard song, but he stuck with the melody, he showed off an actual nice voice and he had a romantic moment that the girls are sure to love.

Randy summed it up best with, “The perfect song at the perfect time and your best performance on the show ever.” We aren’t sure it was better than “Volcano” but it was definitely right up there.

What do you think, fans? Is Phillip a shoo-in? Should we even hold the finals next week, or should he just get crowned now and we can all go home?
