scott macintyre video heartstrings 'American Idol': Scott MacIntyre 'Heartstrings' 'above Lady Gaga, right under Kris Allen'Scott MacIntyre released his debut album “Heartstrings” on March 11, the night he returned to the “American Idol” stage. Find out what his favorite songs are and what the album really means to him.

Scott tells Zap2it that his new album “Heartstrings” is “all original music. It’s a full-length album and last we checked, it was No. 19 on the iTunes pop album chart. It was right above Lady Gaga, right under Kris Allen … some good company there.”

When asked if he can possibly pick a favorite song, Scott laughs, “It’s a little bit like picking your favorite child, but I do have some favorite songs. Obviously, our lead-off single is ‘Heartstrings’ … it’s really upbeat … great lead-off single for radio.” His second-favorite song is “Valentine.”

Scott also describes the album as being “about love, it’s about loss, it’s about heartbreak in another person that you can’t do anything about, it’s about finding hope when everything is lost around you … I really hope people pick up the CD and hear a great pop-rock album but more than that can really walk away with something tangible that they can apply in their own lives.”
