This week on “America’s Got Talent,” a pair of male salsa dancers took the stage, much to the judges’ surprise. Their names are John & Andrew and they want viewers to know that they aren’t together — Andrew is gay, but John is not. It’s not about being gay.

Male-male pairs are becoming more prevalent in the ballroom dancing community. John says it’s just about dancing with the best partner and it doesn’t matter what the gender of either partner.

The judges were impressed, giving John & Andrew a standing ovation and four yes votes. Howard Stern calls them “inspirational” and says they’re important because we’re living in a “time of transition.”

Then Stern and fellow judge Howie Mandel get a quick dance lesson and show off their moves, which is both impressive and terrifying. Also, who knew Howard Stern was hiding such nice arms, right?

“America’s Got Talent” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
