alisha white americas next top model 'America's Next Top Model's' Alisha White: 'I'm stronger now'Alisha White took herself out of the running on “America’s Next Top Model: British Invasion.” She tells Zap2it in her exit interview that she’s glad she did the show but she’s also glad she quit.

Are you glad you did “America’s Next Top Model”?

“Oh my God, I’m so glad. I can’t express how happy I am to have the opportunity to come to America, to meet Tyra Banks, everybody was so lovely to me and I would do it all over again, honestly. I would do it all over again. I feel so blessed to be able to come to ‘America’s Next Top Model.’ I don’t feel like the public saw my supermodel ability, but the whole experience in itself was great for me. It was definitely a learning curve. I’ve learned so much about myself. It was definitely a privilege.”

We were sad to see you quit the show.

“I’m sad that I left the show as well. That wasn’t my intention whatsoever, but I wasn’t happy at all. I had to go. I couldn’t be selfish any longer. I didn’t feel like pretending that I was OK. I wanted the other girls to sail through it and not have other girls hogging the plate.”

Why did you leave?

“It was literally just that moment that I just thought this is not me. This is not how I want to do it. I want to be a model and a successful model and happy in my career. But I wasn’t happy and I had to walk away from it.”

So you are still interested in modeling?

“Definitely. I would never ever ever ever stop modeling. Modeling is my life. I live and breathe for modeling. It makes me happy. I wasn’t understanding in the competition. I wasn’t happy. It was like I was fighting a battle with someone I loved.”

So what’s next for you?

“First thing that I decided to do when I got back to London was repair Alisha. Alisha was a little bit broken. I wanted to repair myself and make myself into a better person. Now I’m working on a clothing line. I’m also going to start writing a book. This is not an ending, this is definitely the beginning for me. I’m so excited to show everybody what I can do.

Are you looking to return to the U.S.?

“I think at the moment I’m definitely going to do things in the U.K. But I think the U.S. is for me. I really think that. I love the people, I love the fast pace of the industry. I definitely feel like my destiny is in the states. I will be doing a lot more work over there.

I feel so much stronger now. That needed to happen, I needed to meet that pressure and then just go. I’m stronger now. I really feel like I could take on anything.”

“America’s Next Top Model” airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on the CW.
