LeVar Burton, William Shatner and Alyssa Milano are among the stars paying tribute and offering prayers for Walter and Judy Koenig after the death of their son, Andrew.
The actor, who played Richard ‘Boner’ Stabone’ on “Growing Pains,” was found dead in a Vancouver park Thursday (Feb. 25) after being reported missing last week. Following his body’s discovering, Koenig’s father held a press conference, confirming that his son had “took his own life.”
Milano wrote, “If you know someone suffering from depression, please do everything in your power to get them help. R.I.P. Andrew.”
“My heart is heavy for the Koenig family,” tweeted comedian Sarah Silverman.
“My deepest sympathies to Andrew Koenig’s family,” William Shatner, Walter’s costar on the TV series, “Star Trek,” wrote. “I will grieve with them.”
