arnold schwarzenegger body building editor Arnold Schwarzenegger returns to bodybuilding as a magazine editor

Arnold Schwarzenegger might have put his bodybuilding days behind him, but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to leave that world entirely. It’s been revealed that Schwarzenegger has taken a new gig as the group executive editor for the magazines Muscles & Fitness and Flex.

The Hollywood Reporter has the news, and notes that this position with American Media, Inc. is one that Schwarzenegger held prior to his governorship. Schwarzenegger will “lend both strategic and creative input, as well as contribute monthly columns to the magazines.”

“He is a universally recognized star, and an iconic leader of the fitness movement,” AMI chairman, president and CEO David J. Pecker tells THR. “His contributions will enormously benefit our print and digital readers, while driving value for our advertisers.”

Schwarzenegger adds, “It was in these magazines that I found the spark that inspired me to start lifting weights, and eventually move to America and realize my dreams. I’m proud to return as executive editor.”

This isn’t the only job Schwarzenegger is returning to. He jumped back into acting with January’s “The Last Stand,” and will next star in movies like “The Tomb,” “Ten,” “Triplets” and “The Legend of Conan.”
