will arnett gi 320 'Arrested Development' movie: 'Sooner rather than later,' Will Arnett says“Running Wilde” has finished shooting — at least for the time being — which means it’s time for the latest round of chatter about the “Arrested Development” movie.

Today’s incremental development comes courtesy of “Running Wilde” star/co-creator Will Arnett, who says the film is, in fact, “something we plan on doing.”

“I can’t really speak to [‘Arrested’ creator Mitch Hurwitz‘s] timetable,” Arnett tells Gawker. “But I would suspect that it’s going to be sooner rather than later now, I will say that.”

Arnett wouldn’t offer any hints on the storyline for the film, although he does allow that there are “some really funny ideas being kicked around.”

“If it goes in the direction Mitch is suggesting, it’ll be super hilarious,” he adds.

FOX has yet to say anything about the future off “Running Wilde,” which has struggled in the ratings this fall (Tuesday’s episode drew less than 3 million people). If it doesn’t go past its current 13-episode order, then presumably Hurwitz, Arnett and Co. might have more time to devote to getting the “Arrested” movie off the ground.
