Watch the first three seasons of “Arrested Development” on Netflix. Today we’re covering the third episode of Season 3, “Forget-Me-Now,” which premiered Oct. 3, 2005.

There are plenty of priceless firsts introduced in “Forget-Me-Now,” the most notable one being Tobias’ former profession as an “analrapist.” That joke has remained one of the most iconic “Arrested Development” references to this day, and is one of the most beloved allusions to Tobias’ assumed homosexuality. Also introduced are Bob Loblaw as the Bluth family’s replacement for attorney Barry Zuckerkorn, and GOB’s penchant for using “forget-me-now” pills, known to the rest of us as roofies.

Plot: Michael continues to date Rita, but decides to pretend he doesn’t have a family so he can ignore bring up that unpleasantness. Unfortunately for him, his family decides to show their affection for Michael by throwing him a party after they mistakenly believe he’s shredded important evidence on their behalf. They kidnap Rita to try to surprise Michael at the party with her, but that plan goes awry after Buster knocks her out when he sees her seal backpack and then GOB drugs her with a “forget-me-now.” Everything comes to a head when Rita walks in on Michael’s party and discovers he has a family. As a result, he decides to be more forthcoming with his new love interest. Meanwhile, George Michael discovers Steve Holt is GOB’s son, meaning he is also Maeby’s cousin. Considering Maeby is now dating Steve Holt, that makes things especially awkward. Also, George Sr. is under house arrest and tries to escape Balboa Towers using balloons filled with hydrogen, but it doesn’t go so well.

Bluth Company status: Bob Loblaw makes his first appearance as Bob Loblaw, the Bluth’s new attorney, and he tries to help the Bluths solve the Iraq situation. Unfortunately GOB shreds evidence under George Sr.’s orders. George Sr. is under house arrest and needs to use a surrogate.

Notable guest stars: Scott Baio as Bob Loblaw, Charlize Theron as Rita Leeds.

Memorable line: “Well we’re not here to talk nonsense to Bob Loblaw.”

Milestones: The first appearance as Larry Middleman as George Sr.’s surrogate, first mention of Tobias being an analrapist and the first time GOB is seen using a “forget-me-now/”

Recurring jokes worth remembering: Tobias was the world’s first analyst and therapist, or “analrapist.” Steve Holt is the son of GOB, which makes him Maeby’s cousin. GOB uses roofies to induce temporary amnesia and calls them “forget-me-nows.” The use of the phrase “for British eyes only.” Bob Loblaw’s tagline, “He’s very good.” Buster’s fear of seals. GOB’s puppet Franklin and their song “It Ain’t Easy Being White.”

Allusions to Tobias being gay: Tobias defines his former job of a combination analyst and therapist as an “analrapist.”

Most sexual tension: Lindsay makes her moves on Bob Loblaw while Michael continues to woo Rita. Still, nothing’s more awkward than Maeby’s assumption that she needs to have sex with her boyfriend/cousin Steve Holt.

Best narrator commentary: “Everyone froze. Michael feared he’d been caught in a lie about his family. His family feared they’d been caught by a woman they’d clubbed, drugged and left on a bench. It was awkward.”

Next on “Arrested Development”: Lindsay tries to seduce Bob Loblaw to make up the money she owes him, but ends up having to work as his maid instead. Steve Holt thinks he made a “hude mistake” with Maeby and needs to turn to his GOB, who finally admits that he’s Steve’s father. Steve says he won’t forget it, but then GOB takes a “forget-me-now” so he can erase it from his mind.
