Has Cashmere Mafia been canceled? Is the show in trouble? TIVO says there are no episodes of the show scheduled, and you know TIVO is never wrong. Monica

Well Monica you made me feel so much better because now I know I’m not the only watching Lucy Liu and her questionable outfits every Wednesday night. And fret not. Next Wednesday, ABC is repeating the two-hour third season finale of Lost at 9 p.m. but Cashmere Mafia will return on February 6, the day before the premiere of Lipstick Jungle on NBC. Let the great Mafia/Jungle debate begin.

What show were you most disappointed to see cancelled too quickly? I’d say it should have lasted less than one season so perhaps the criteria should be that the show had no resolution/finale. Mine would include Proffit and, believe it or not, Dark Shadows (the remake). Andrea

Andrea — this is an excellent question! I still mourn the demise of Everwood, Arrested Development, Veronica Mars and Once and Again.  NBC’s fabulous Boomtown, my favorite comedy of all time ABC’s Sports Night and CBS’s Joan of Arcadia lasted two seasons each so that doesn’t fit your criteria. So I’m going to say the 1999 series Now and Again starring Eric Close and Denis Haysbert was a terrific series that left us without any resolution and I still wish I got to see that gang on the WB’s biting satire Grosse Pointe. Of course, I must include the two Judd Apatow classics NBC’s Freaks and Geeks and FOX’s Undeclared. I’m convinced both would now be hits, they were just before their time. I love this question so I must know what shows were you most disappointed to see cancelled too quickly.

"There’s no one more full of crap than Stephen. You know, so he sounds like a good salesman." Alec Baldwin about his brother on The Celebrity Apprentice.

"It’s tragic. Bono and Sheryl Crow should do a benefit concert for her lady parts." Marc about Wilhemnia’s infertility on Ugly Betty.

"We went. We learned. I didn’t get killed. She did kill anyone. Pretty good first day I think." John to his mother about his first day of school with Cameron on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

"Quit embarrassing yourself — we’re not two chicks you’re trying to pick up in a bar." Mahone to Whistler, while Whistler was trying to convince everyone he was a good guy on Prison Break. Thanks to Sandy for the quote.

That’s all for today. I’m back next week to talk about the return of Lost (I. Can’t. Wait.), the series premiere of HBO’s new series In Treatment (starring my long time secret boyfriend Josh Charles), and ABC’s great new series Eli Stone.
