One Russian tot is the luckiest girl in the world. The 2-year-old baby was flung from a car after it lost control on a Moscow road, but somehow managed to survive both the Mitsubishi crash with an oncoming truck and nearly being run over.

As can be seen in the above video, the child flies out of the back of the crashed car after it is hit by oncoming traffic. The regional traffic report, via a Russian news report, faults the 53-year-old driver for sitting the girl “like a doll” on the shelf under the back windshield of the Mitsubishi instead of in a car seat.

The adopted child sustained injuries to her face and head, but is honestly just lucky to be alive. She was treated at the CRH Lyskovo Hospital. This accident will likely help encourage Russian policies that make car seats mandatory. Only a third of the Russian population uses car seats, the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion found in a poll.
