bachelorette finale emily maynard 'Bachelorette' finale spoiler: Will Emily Maynard have a change of heart during the live 'After the Final Rose'?ABC’s decision to air “The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose” post-finale special live has led many fans to speculate that Emily Maynard would be choosing her final guy — Arie Luyendyk Jr. or Jef Holm — during the broadcast. According to spoiler guru Reality Steve, though, she’s already chosen her man. But we may now know the reason behind the change in format: Emily’s reportedly been in touch with the guy she didn’t choose in Curacao.

Here’s what we know:

Reality Steve writes on July 3, “Emily and Jef left Curacao as an engaged couple and are still engaged today.”

And Tuesday (July 17), he reports that Arie did not propose in Curacao. Is it because Arie rejected her first, as In Touch reports? RS says that’s bunk, and our instincts agree.

“Was it because he got up to the altar and Emily rejected him before he could, or, did she let him go early like a lot of people who’ve emailed me seem to be insinuating? That I don’t know,” Steve writes.

And here’s the newest wrinkle reported by WetPaint Monday: “A source tells us that at least one person involved in the final trio of characters — Emily, Arie Luyendyk, Jr., and Jef Holm — has had ‘lingering feelings’ that need to be addressed.”

Reality Steve says that’s not entirely accurate, though.

“It’s TWO people that have lingering feelings — Arie and Emily. Scandal, right? Not so much,” he writes. “Sure, something will happen, but nothing ridiculously dramatic. What I’ve been told is at some point since filming ended, Arie and Emily may have had some sort of contact. Whether it be a phone call, a text, etc. I don’t know. But for whatever reason, there’s some ‘lingering feelings/issues’ with these two that will be addressed come the live finale. However, it does not affect what’s already taken place, and that’s Emily and Jef being engaged.”

So can we expect Emily to pull a Jason Mesnick during the post-finale special and attempt the old switcheroo with her final two fellows? Or is the live airing all hype that’ll be mostly deflated when we just get a bunch of talk from Emily and Arie about needing “closure”? Our bet is on the latter.
