backstreet-boys-reunited-pics-instagram.jpgBackstreet’s back — all right! Brian Littrell, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, A.J. McLean and newly rejoined member Kevin Richardson announced Tuesday (July 17) on “Good Morning America” that the Backstreet Boys are working on a new album and will be returning to “GMA” Aug. 31 for their first official performance back together as a group.

The as-yet untitled album will be the boy band’s first with Richardson since 2005. The oldest Backstreet Boy departed the group amicably in 2006 to pursue other interests. The band announced his return in April.

“We wake up. We have breakfast together. We’re not sick of each other at all,” Carter says of living and working together while recording the new album in London. “It’s awesome. It really is. The vibe is fantastic.”

Producer Martin Terefe, who has worked with Mary J. Blige, Train and Jason Mraz, is working with BSB on their new album, which is slated for a spring 2013 release to coincide with the band’s 20th anniversary.
