battlestar galactica blood and chrome show 290x239 120321210020 'Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome' won't be a TV series may hit the web“Battlestar Galactica” fans have been through the ringer. First, our beloved series gets an ending that left many fans either cold or confused. Next we lose “Caprica.” Now we find out that the newest series in the works, “Battlestar Galatica: Blood and Chrome” isn’t going to make it to the airwaves, according to Deadline.

The show about the younger years of William Adama has been in the works for quite some time. Though it was initially imagined as a web series, it was greenlit in October 2010 for a two hour TV pilot. Because of post-production in this effects-heavy series, that pilot wasn’t delivered until November 2011.

Mark Stern, president of original programming at Syfy had this to say in a statement. “Though the vision for ‘Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome’
has evolved over the course of the past year, our enthusiasm for this
ambitious project has not waned. We
are actively pursuing it as was originally intended: a groundbreaking
digital series that will launch to audiences beyond the scope of a
television screen. The 90-minute pilot movie will air on Syfy in its
entirety at a future date.”

So, web series? Maybe so. Let us know what you think, “Battlestar” fans. Are you disappointed? Excited about the possibilities? Spill your guts below.
