NBC is wisely touting that the premiere of its new series “Believe” was directed by newly minted Oscar winner Alfonso Cuaron. Now it’s letting you see some of his handiwork.
Above, you can watch the first two minutes of Monday’s (March 10) series premiere, and it’s an impressive one. You won’t discern much about the story — other than that little girl Bo (Johnny Sequoyah) is special, and bad people are after her — but it’s easy to marvel at the craft of the scene, which at least appears to be one unbroken take.
Cuaron also co-wrote the pilot and serves as one of the show’s executive producers. “Believe” premieres at 10 p.m. ET/PT Monday following “The Voice,” then moves to its regular home at 9 p.m. Sundays starting March 16.
