“Bethenny Ever After” star Bethenny Frankel has reportedly auditioned for a role in “Pain and Gain,” director Michael Bay’s new movie starring Mark Wahlberg, Ed Harris, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Anthony Mackie, reports Us Weekly.
The secret audition took place Feb. 27 in Miami, Florida.
“Although she has no formal training, she has obviously gained a lot of experience working with cameras and she was totally comfortable with what she had to read,” the source says.
You call this no formal training?
While there may be nothing formal about Frankel’s 1994 teen thriller, it surely prepped her for potentially costarring with The Rock, we’re guessing.
Apparently Frankel was scouted for the “Pain and Gain” audition while sightseeing with her 2-year-old daughter, Bryn.
“He didn’t know who she was but wanted her to read. When she went in, the casting directors were freaking out because it ended up being Bethenny Frankel,” the source says. “She doesn’t know when she’ll find out if she gets the part, but the audition was fabulous.”
Knowing Frankel’s marketing savvy, perhaps we’ll see some well-placed Skinnygirl cocktails in the flick — or at least on the concessions menu at local theaters.
