It was a very emotional day in court for Bethenny Frankel. The TV personality took to the stand for the first time today (May 28) in her battle with former husband, Jason Hoppy, over custody of their four-year-old daughter, Bryn.
The couple are in the midst of a bitter custody battle, after splitting in late 2012. Us Weekly reports Frankel was inconsolable at times, struggling to fight tears as she described the terrible events of their divorce preceding.
The former “Real Housewives of New York” star described in her testimony the way she was bullied by her former husband when he refused to leave their NYC home, saying, “Jason said to me, ‘Get ready, we are going to war. It’s over. We’re done.”
Frankel added Jason would leave their house in shambles and would say things to their young and impressionable daughter with the intentions of turning her against her mother, like, “Mommy should be Ursula the witch. She’s a great witch.
You be the princess, I’ll be the prince, Mommy will be the witch.”
The trial is expected to go on until a settlement is reached. Stay strong Bethenny!
